What a rollercoaster of emotions last night while watching Bristol City play Middlesbrough away in an FA cup replay. I watched with delight as City started on a positive note and not only were they playing 10x better then their last 3 league games but they were actually outplaying Middlesbrough. All that hard work and effort paid off when David Noble netted a well earned goal after been given acres of space by Middlesbrough defence. Noble now known to my best mate as his hero, has not been playing of late but I feel that in past games that he has played he has earn’t himself a place in the starting 11.
Anyway, start of the second half and Southgate brought on Viduka, who in all honesty should have started. Middlesbrough were a different side and it was only a matter of time until the scored the equaliser in the 70th minute by a Viduka header. City still playing very well but looked dead tired leading up to full time managed to hold a draw forcing extra time when Yakubu netted a easy tape in. Not to mention Middlesbrough hit the bar twice. But we were back on our feet 4 minutes before the end when McCombe scored forcing penalties.
Anyone who supports a club with a lot of passion and have seen them go through penalties will know how hard they are to watch. But watch we did until City went out 5-4.
All in all I am very please with the performance and I am proud of my team.
