As we count down 23 day’s left to the World Cup 06 we turn to the Champions League final tonight to keep us football fans going before that long gap of no football.

Tonights match Arsenal vs. Barcelona, I feel my support must be with Arsenal because they are an English club but the problem is I hate them. Being a Manchester United fan you can’t expect me to like them, plus the fact that I do like Barcelona as a squad.
As it happens I am English and even though Arsenal is not I will give them my support for tonight only. When I say they are not they are made up of a 6 French players a few Swiss and only about 3 English players and as they have more French players I feel that playing in France tonight would feel like a home match that gives Barcelona a disadvantage.

I loved it when Liverpool won last year, the pub was so alive that it felt like a English match as everyone was supporting the same side. With tonight’s match I do not feel it ending up that way as there are a lot of people in our local that do not like the Arsenal squad.
Like I said, they have my support just for tonight but I will not be to upset if they lose. They have done well to get as far as they have but Barcelona will be a tough egg to crack. Especially with Ronaldinho in the squad.

Henry, will he stay or will he go? I believe that his decision will rely on tonight’s result.

Game Review
First of the sending off/disallowed goal was a good decision by the ref. As soon as he had seen the tackle the whistle went and therefore in the rules of football the goal after was disallowed. Lehmann knew what he was doing when he came out, not only did he clip Eto'o leg but he grabbed hold of it. If he did get the ball he would of been outside his area anyway.
Arsenal's free kick that set up Campbell's great goal should never have been as Eboue just fell over without being touched.
Apart from that, Arsenal seemed to play better with 10 men and after their goal you would never of thought they were 1 person short.
Late into the second half you could see Barca getting back into the game and it was only a matter of time before they would stick the knife in. Once that goal went in Barca looked strong again and came at Arsenal looking for a second which they did get when Belletti managed to get his shot deflected of Arsenal's reserve keeper.
