Less than 10 days now and with last nights England match things are really starting to get exciting. Last night's England Vs Hungary match wasn’t that great but it was good to see the full team in action pre world cup. You must understand that this was a friendly and you could see the players were not diving into tackles and letting Hungary take the ball off of them a little easier then normal. The first half was quite boring with little chances for both sides, the penalty against Gerrard was upsetting to see, I don't want England to drop down to that level of foreign play.
I must say that I was very impressed with Beckham; last night was the best form I have seen him on for over a year. His crosses were spot on and 95% of his passes got to there destination, lets also not forget that two of his crosses set up goals from Gerrard and Terry. The player that surprised me more then the number 7 was Peter Crouch, I never liked him but after seeing his 3rd England goal and that great robot dance to the crowd I must say I like him that little bit more. I still think his legs just don't look right and when he runs he looks like a baby giraffe but he does have a good first touch.
Young Walcott never really had a chance to prove much with only one good cross then unfortunately never made it to Crouch. I do wish him the best but still believe he is not experienced enough in big games.
