It was great playing football last night, I really enjoyed it. We had 16 people turn up which made 8 a side. Some new players who I had not seen before one in particular played really well. We managed to win 2-1 which was a fair reflection of the game as both teams played well with some fantastic football being played. Unfortunately I never managed to score but had 3 shots on target all of them saved.
When I got home I played a bit more of Ninety Nine Nights before falling asleep in front of the TV while watching Family Guy.
Today has not been to bad work wise, I still have some issues to sort out but “touch wood” I will not get much new calls to order but you never know. For lunch today I thought that I really should get back into reading so I took Peter Kay’s Autobiography to work and sat down in the coffee area with a bottle of Fanta and put my legs up on the table and sat back on the sofa/chairs they have and read for an hour. It was nice to get a bit of reading done, I have so many books to pile through at the moment and I also bought one of Jeremy Clarkson’s last night too.
We have a new woman by the name of Carla start at work who has taken the job of my friend Paula. At first she seemed quite to herself but then again I suppose you would be when you come to work in a new place not knowing anyone. She moved down here from the Bracknell offices with her boyfriend. As she can not drive she cycles to work and has just told me that she has signed up to do a 250 mile cycle with her boyfriend and some others from work around Ireland in October and asked if I would like to do it. Hell no, I get tired cycling 3 miles to work everyday and I wouldn’t do 62.5 miles a day unless there was stops at every pub. We did do that before but the next day we could not walk, and I don’t fancy waking up to having to cycle another 63 miles. Carla also has started looking at the fitness classes our work provides and asked me if I wanted to do ‘Box Fit’ classes, I think she would be glad for the company as our area is quite small and only I and Matt are here who make an effort to chat and be friendly. I may give it a thought as I would like to try new things but I really would like to sign up to some form of Marshal Arts at Esporta.
I’ll leave you with a Logic Puzzle (Answers on a postcard)
"I guarantee," said the pet-shop salesman, "that this parrot will repeat every word it hears." A customer bought the parrot but found it would not speak a single word. Nevertheless, the salesman told the truth. Explain.
