Welcome to my Life

You can tell it’s the start of the year because the gyms are packed again. I see it every year, the gym is packed with newcomers and some who have just decided that they will renew their membership and use it more this year. Yeah right, come March it always tails off until summer when everyone comes back just to top up for the beach.

I don’t mind that much, it’s nice to have loads of new people, and most of them stay way from the free weights anyway. When I went on Sunday the weight sections were nearly empty but all the cross trainers and treadmills were packed.

I had another busy day at work today, a problem arose which I knew was coming for ages, we had a new site and no process was written, and I always asked how we where going to track the parts and how would we know that they have received them, to my not so surprised face I had an email asking me to provide a proof of delivery for 29 parts dating back to October. On your bike son! I have been warning them about it but no one really took interest so why should I be the one to correct it. They say that I need to use my initiative and approach problems with ways to get around them and deal with them on my own but when I foresee problems they don’t seem to listen.
In a way I like it when it gets busier at work because the day goes quicker and I feel like I have earned my money. I’d love to get promoted but as I work in Bristol and the others are based in Bracknell I can’t really see it. Plus I have been coving for a guy who has been off sick for 6 weeks and counting.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
