4 day week this week as I took yesterday off to travel up to Coventry with City friend Kate. The drive up was quick but then again she drove at 90mph most of the way which I found funny. I had never been to Coventry City’s ground (The Ricoh Arena) before and it is a fantastic ground. The only problem was that it felt empty as not a lot of Coventry fans turned up. I don’t know whether that was because we were the underdogs and they felt that the match would be rubbish or maybe it was the fact that their poor performance in recent games didn’t warrant them buying a ticket for a 3rd round replay of the FA cup. Anyhow, the Bristol fans were full of life and I managed to bump into a few people I had not seen for ages. There was Matt who I had known since I was little and it was because of him I first started to follow City. I bumped into Mike and old college I used to work with and I also seen the family that sat next to me at the Gate.
The only problem I had with some of the fans is the fact that they spent the whole game watching the home fans and not the football. It seems as if some are there just to cause trouble.
The price of the tickets where cheap in my opinion but I guess they made up for that by charging £10 a ticket for the car park.
The game was one sided and Bristol City played well, one of the best matches I had seen this season. Next up Middlesbrough.
The journey home seemed quicker but it took a lot longer as we first went the wrong way and then where diverted through Birmingham as the M42 was closed.
Today at work was very busy and I hardly had time to do my own work as I had escalation after escalation to deal with. The only time I got to myself was at lunch time which I spent looking for a car. I am looking to get a Golf for around £7,000, I do want the Diesel but I did take an interest in the 1.9 T GTi but everyone is warning me that it’s insurance group 19 and drinks fuel like no tomorrow. It’s strange because the Turbo Petrol is a lot Cheaper then its Diesel brother. The car I am looking at is the GT TDI and I can not wait until I get back to having my own car. Especially a 6 speed turbo ;)
Tomorrow I am going to try and get up early to go to the gym and then at Lunch time I have a game of squash with my mate Matt. So it looks like I wont have much energy left in the evening.
